Saudi Arabia has declared to issue an evisa to Indian tourists soon, which is home for around 5 million Indians. This new regime will assist to unlock tourism in the region.
CEO of Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), Fahd Hamidaddin has revealed the news of extending its e-visa facilities for Indian tourists only. Hamidaddin further stated while participating in a virtual seminar held by Informa Markets (being part of the SATTE GenX virtual seminar-cum-exhibition) that Saudi is home for around 5 million Indians and this decided regime -visa facility will assist in unlocking the huge potential that exists for VFR (Visit Friends & Relatives) from India to Saudi Arabia.
He further said, “You can expect the good news soon”. Also, he declared that the eVisa has really proved to be quite successful for Saudi Arabia wherein around 5 lakh travellers have used this regime as of its introduction to visit the country.
As part of starting the country for Tourism, the Tourism Authority of the country has identified 30 countries in terms of source markets and those 30 nations were clustered into 13 agencies. He stated that as per the cluster, the communication strategy can be drawn.
In addition, conceding that there may be a lack of knowledge about Saudi Arabia and the diverse services of this country in the travel global, Fahd Hamidaddin stated that the trial is to offer the country's various tourism offerings beneath three heads of culture, journey and Sun & Sea. Besides, while designing a truly integrated experiential tourism to the curious guests, Hamidaddin stated that they could remain actual to the centre with attention on long term sustainability.
Hamidaddin stated that Saudi Arabia has captured the huge geographical area in the Arabian peninsula with various topography ranging from desert to places with intense cold climates and snow, green mountains to valleys, and sea.
Also, SAT tourism stated that they will be comprising tour operators along with communication agencies in each source market to curate the narratives dependent on interest and character of the market.
